Present Simple vs Present Continuous vs Present Perfect

ثلاثة أزمنة مضارعة، استخداماتها مختلفة: • Present Simple: حقائق، روتين. (I work in a bank.) • Present Continuous: حدث الآن أو مؤقّت. (I am working now.) • Present Perfect: حدث في الماضي له أثر على الحاضر. (I have worked here for 5 years.) القاعدة Present Perfect: have/has + past participle (V3).

🎯 نقاط أساسيّة:

•Simple: every day, always, usually.
•Continuous: now, at the moment, Look!
•Perfect: just, already, yet, ever, since, for.
•Perfect: have/has + V3.
•Subject + has + V3 (he/she/it).
•Subject + have + V3 (I/you/we/they).

مثال 1:

Choose: «I _____ (live) in Riyadh since 2015.»

الحلّ:

since 2015 → Present Perfect. I have lived in Riyadh since 2015.

Past Simple vs Past Continuous vs Past Perfect

ثلاثة أزمنة ماضية: • Past Simple: حدث منتهٍ في الماضي. (I visited London last year.) • Past Continuous: كان يحدث في وقت معيّن. (I was watching TV at 8 PM.) • Past Perfect: حدث قبل حدث آخر في الماضي. (I had eaten before she arrived.) قاعدة Past Perfect: had + V3.

🎯 نقاط أساسيّة:

•Past Simple: yesterday, last week, ago.
•Past Continuous: was/were + verb-ing.
•Past Perfect: had + V3.
•Past Perfect لِما حدث «قبل» شيء ماضٍ آخر.

💡 أمثلة محلولة:

مثال 1:

Choose: «By the time we arrived, the train _____ (leave).»

الحلّ:

«By the time» → الفعل الذي حدث أوّلًا في Past Perfect. The train had left.

Zero & Type 1 Conditional

Zero Conditional (حقائق علميّة): If + Present Simple, Present Simple. مثال: If you heat water, it boils. Type 1 (محتمل في المستقبل): If + Present Simple, will + base verb. مثال: If it rains tomorrow, I will stay home.

•Zero: If + present, present. (للحقائق)
•Type 1: If + present, will + base. (محتمل مستقبل)
•لا نستخدم «will» في جملة if.

Type 2 & Type 3 Conditional

Type 2 (غير حقيقي في الحاضر): If + past simple, would + base verb. مثال: If I had money, I would buy a car. Type 3 (لم يحدث في الماضي): If + past perfect, would have + V3. مثال: If I had studied, I would have passed.

•Type 2: If + past, would + base. (افتراضي حاضر)
•Type 3: If + had + V3, would have + V3. (افتراضي ماضٍ)
•في Type 2 نستخدم «were» مع I/he/she (If I were you...).

أخطاء شائعة احذرها

هذه الأخطاء يقع فيها أغلب الطلّاب في الاختبار — راجعها قبل أن تدخل القاعة.

1Using «will» in if-clause: «If it will rain» ✗ → «If it rains» ✓.
2Wrong tense after «since/for»: use Present Perfect.
3Type 2 conditional: using «was» instead of «were» with I.
4Forgetting to change verb to V3 in passive voice.
5Wrong subject-verb agreement in long sentences.
6Using past simple instead of past perfect for the earlier action.
7Confusing «however» (contrast) with «therefore» (result).
